When I implemented (took over) the patch I didn't want to put too many default Touch Bar buttons so the only default button now is the fullscreen toggle. MBP Touch Bar support only went in very recently ( ). Either way Touch Bar support won't work when you use Vim in terminal. In case you don't know the difference, Vim doesn't really have a good UI for Mac, so MacVim is the de facto Mac port of Vim, but it's a separate project. I assume you are talking about MacVim and not vanilla Vim / Vim running on terminal. And please those of you who deign to grace us with your vim wisdom - be kind.
